As a workplace, we take pride in our commitment to sustainability. We strive to reduce our environmental impact by making responsible choices across every part of our business. By continually improving our processes and keeping the environment in mind, we believe that every action - no matter how big or small - can make a meaningful difference.
SOLAR PANELS
The distillery is powered in part by 185 on-site solar panels, which generate around 49 kW of energy per day. This renewable energy helps to reduce our reliance on traditional power sources and lowers the overall carbon footprint of our operations. The energy produced supports many of our daily activities, from powering electrical appliances and office equipment to contributing to the energy used in our production processes. By harnessing solar power, we're taking practical steps toward a more sustainable way of producing our spirits.
HMI Control Panel
Our HMI control panel reduces water waste and energy usage by up to 60%. It provides precise, real-time control over production processes, ensuring resources are used efficiently at every stage of distillation while maintaining consistent product quality.
Electric Vehicle Chargers
To support greener travel, we have installed two MyEnergi Zappi electric vehicle chargers on site for our employees and clients. These chargers help reduce emissions associated with traditional petrol and diesal transport. With several team members already driving electric cars, our EV chargers help support cleaner energy use and encourage a more sustainable way of travelling.
100% Plastic Free Packaging
As part of our commitment to sustainability, we take every simple step we can to reduce our environmental impact. All our deliveries are sent with zero plastic packaging, our materials are 100% plastic-free and fully recyclable, and even our pallet wrap is completely biodegradable.
Upcycling Bottles
We’ve partnered with Smooth Edge to upcycle our used spirit bottles. Each bottle is cut down and transformed into a candle holder, filled with natural soy wax. This is another eco-friendly choice that gives it a second life. Once the candle has burned down, the bottle can be reused as a gin tumbler, helping to reduce waste and promote resourcefulness.
